Thank
you for visiting NWSurgicalOncology.com.
If you are visiting this web site, chances are you or someone you
care about faces a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of cancer. I believe
that knowledge is power for people coping with cancer. The purpose
of this web site is to share information concerning my activities
in the areas of cancer surgery and cancer research.
My mission is
to work with patients and their families to plan and implement a
course of treatment that will best help them deal with their cancer.
I am committed to fully explaining your condition, treatment options
and potential outcomes.
My areas of expertise
include:
- Surgery for
endocrine, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and select metastatic cancers
- Surgical care
for end-of-life issues, when cure is no longer an option
- Research supporting
development of individualized cancer care based on molecular analysis
of tumors
My surgical oncology
training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, one of the world's
leading cancer centers, has given me experience dealing with challenging
oncologic problems, and I keep up-to-date on the newest research
and treatment methods. In addition, I am committed to contributing
to ongoing cancer research, having taken a position as Medical Director
of Cancer Research at Legacy Health System to further that goal.
My most important
work, however, is with my patients. Each patient has a unique problem
and a unique solution my goal is to find what will work for
and with them. |
